Preparing Our Students for Their Future, Every Child - Every Day
Message from the Principal
Welcome to Ronald C. Dunlap Elementary School—Home of the Lincoln Lions!
Located in the heart of Appleton, Wisconsin, our school serves a diverse and vibrant community. We are proud to be a Community School, which means we partner with families, local organizations, and community members to provide not only academic opportunities but also resources that support the whole child and whole family. This collaborative approach ensures that every student has what they need to succeed both inside and outside of the classroom.
At Dunlap, we take pride in fostering a learning environment where every child is valued, supported, and inspired to reach their fullest potential. Our dedicated staff works tirelessly to create engaging, inclusive classrooms that honor the unique strengths of each student. Beyond academics, we are committed to nurturing curiosity, creativity, resilience, and kindness—qualities that will serve our students well throughout their lives.
Family engagement is a cornerstone of our success. Through our Academic Parent Teacher Teams (APTT), families and teachers partner together to review student data, set academic goals, and learn practical strategies to support learning at home. These meetings empower families as true partners in their child’s education and strengthen the vital connection between school and home.
We also cherish the traditions that make our school unique, from “ringing the bell” to start and end the year, to celebrating Fine Arts Night, Family Reading Night, and our Graduate Walk. These moments remind us that learning is not only about what happens in the classroom but also about the connections we build with one another.
I look forward to working together with families, staff, and the wider community to continue the strong legacy of Ronald C. Dunlap Elementary. Together, we will ensure that every Lion knows they are an important part of our pride.
